My Baby up for sale - good condition cheap finished kit

Wow this car has lived through a lot, a divorce, living on the drive instead of a garage (poor thing) but now a baby is the final straw, so she has to go! Had a lot of work sorted prior to sale so hope you like it, or I have to deal with the vultures on fleabay. Used to use this site all the time but have lost all trace of my login details as its been that long...!

OK basic details, Dutton Phaeton S2 in white WITH FULL WET WEATHER GEAR. Donor are cortina/escort based. Car in S. Manchester, looking for 2200GBP ONO has 5 months tax and 11 months MOT.

Running on a Ford X flow 1660 as below, actually bought from an ad on here a while ago! Reconditioned about 700 miles ago, and fitted as a replacement to a seized 1600 X flow

re bored to+0.040"
high comp ae pistons
kent bcf 2 cam shaft fast road

the engine has got head fitted dont know spec but looks ported

The below has also been done recently/within the last couple of hundred miles
crank shaft re ground
new water pump
Exhaust Maniflold sand blasted and painted
new exhaust mountings and manifold gaskets fitted
New rear shoes and cylinders and wheel bearings
new copper fuel lines
radiator cleaned out and repainted
front suspension trunions /bushes replaced
diff seal replaced due to oil leak
new wipers
new radiator hoses
new washer jet motor
new carb
new bulbs and wiring to headlights
new spark plugs, oil filter and oil
New clutch
Wiring checked and tidied up
full check up by professionals prior to MOT

Thats about all the things I can think of. Now onto the bad list...

Paint cracked as usual, speedo has been checked and cable oiled but is working intermittently, last time i checked direct replacement was available from ETB who made the current one, cost under 100 pounds, shouldnt be too hard to swap them over, I just havent got time any more.

Alternator not performing 100%, I not had any problems with the battery dying, but can't hurt to get a recon one, theyre not expensive.

And the biggy...the rear diff is showing signs of wear and tear and needs replacement before any 'heavy' use (trackdays) but should be on the list of things to change anyway. I have the details for a local firm who will collect, source, fit and return the car if necessary, or they will just fit it for you, or you do it yourself, not the biggest of jobs if its a like for like swap, just need the right equipment

And ill throw in the car cover I just got as I don't really need it once shes gone!

I suspect i've forgotten something so if you want to know anything just ask!

Oh and its a standard ford 4 speed gearbox and got a side exhaust. and I still cant figure out how to post photos so email me if you want them ok?

Thanks for looking

Alex
