Does anyone need a Sierra in West Yorks?

Morning All
There is a chance that I'll be upgrading my tin-top to some Teutonic loveliness. However, the car in question is in West Yorks. My current daily driver is a 90k mile Sierra Sapphire 1.6CVH with Type 9 box, lots of MOT and a month's TAX. My plan would be to drive the Sapph up, sell it to a friendly Locoster and then return in my new car. Any takers at £300ono?

Not interested myself... but just a heads up... there are less than 2000 Sierras left on the road.

ie they are getting rarer.
So if you want a pile of spares, hubs brakes, diff steering gear etc.
If its nice one, maybe a classic ready for later on.

3.92. You don't think I'd be selling a car with a 3.38 or 3.14 for that money do you?

Is that correct??? I read about a year ago there were around 75,000 left. There's still be a few around here as well. Mind you I'm using one as my spare tin top just in case I need one in a few years time.

They're a rare sight on the roads round these parts. The ones that are on the road are usually in pretty good nick too.

Not too sure they'll ever become a real "classic Ford" though

I heard (from Chris Gibbs) that there were 75,000 also. However, looking at car sales sites, most seem to be cosworths or 4x4 at high value

That was direct from the DVLA begining of last year.

I'll get in touch with them again.

Cheers

Chris

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

Loads around here, but ive not seen a road worthy one for sale for a while.

My local scrap yard has a couple and wants £60 for diff, hubs, shafts and front hubs.
