Electric Water pump kit
Hi,
I got these from a friend who has moved to Aus and i dont think they will work with my project engine, i dont kow alot about them so will post links
to go with them too.
Its a Davies, Craig electric water pump kit and controller.
It includes,
Electric water pump Booster
Electric water pump controller
Electric water pump
Used to remove load of the enigne and the controller works excellent, set it to what you want and the pump will work to keep the enigne at that
temp.

was looking at these but not sure how it would fit to the engine and replace my standard water pump, surly they would have to be made for each engine.

You take your mechanical water pump out, or take the impellor off and then fit the electrical one in the bottom hose of the rad.
Basically allows you better control over your water circulation rates as it becomes independant of revs and totally dependant on temperature.
They are a good way to go and I considered it for the duratec, but just got it sorted to retain the std one

same here Flak, i just dont have room for it with my duratec by the looks.
Its perfect for high power/reving engines or if rad is somewhere else etc.
cheers

In becs you need to be slightly careful with the current draw. With lights and fan on at night you can end up drawing too much power from the
alternator and flatten your battery.
There was a guy with a gsxr1000 who had this problem.
Lots of solutions (don't drive at night, don't turn fan on), but it isn't ideal. I have only ever heard of one case where this was
a problem.
