Seriously though - that lathe would be perfect for a lathe novice. See how it works, make your mistakes, THEN buy an expensive lathe.

My little lathe (Zyto 3.375", made c. 1940) cost me £75 - still going strong, and does get used regularly. My big lathe (Colchester Student Mk1 made c. 1953) came later - at £200. Neither is in great condition - but each does the job according to its ability.
