S1 Lotus Elise stripping breaking

now started my new project.

initial stages are stripping, cleaning, and selling all the parts I don't need.

First off are the rear clam, engine covers and wing mirrors.

All in sparkling Ruby Red and paintwork is in generally exceptional condition. It would benefit from a polish but there are very few stone chips, and the rear clam has the clear armour fend protection in the usual places. Apart from the odd scratch I haven't been able to find any damage on the clam. The engine cover is in perfect condition. The mirrors have a scuff on one and stonechip on the other. I only have the branched support for one of the mirrors.

I also have the plastic interior trim parts.

many more pictures here:

Wiring shown in the clam pictures will be removed as I need this...

Rear Clam - £250 ono - collection only LE10
Engine cover £50 - collection only LE10
Wing mirrors £20
Interior Trim £20

in the near future I will have more: full soft top in excellent condition, wheels, tyres, brakes, suspension components, a fully running 1.8k Series engine & box with 87k miles only, ECU, engine loom, seats (maybe), steering wheel... PM me if you are after anything in particular.

cheers
Pat

What side and condition of threads on the mirror branch that you do have. Paint would be unimportant.

Will check in more detail tomorrow. But I think the condition of the threads is not great.. I don't know if they can either be retapped or have new inserts fitted?

wheels are in fantastic condition. No kerbing on any of them.

sizes are 15" front 16" rear.

Tyres are
Pirelli P6000 185/55/R15 fronts (~5.7mm)
Pirelli P6000 205/50/r16 rears (~2.4mm)

wheels not available immediately as I need them to wheel the car about on for around another week to 10 days... when they are: £320 with tyres, £240 without tyres - collection from LE10

Passenger seat:

more seat pics:
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.672425035516.1073741836.283500024&type=1&l=b447773fae

Leather covered, padded lumber support. Leather is in excellent condition with only some tiny, tiny marks that I have tried to picture above. Mounting subframe included (subframe could do with a lick of paint). Weight is 8.4kg including the subframe. £125 collection LE10

Driver's side seat available shortly, only slightly more worn and has the added bonus of the lumbar support being adjustable with a very neat hand pump (pics later or tomorrow)

cheers,

seats!

pics of the driver's seat now available.
driver's won't come with subframe but does some with a nifty lumbar support pump which works very well.

They are only 431mm wide at the base. They would have definitely fitted into my old Stuart Taylor locost.
488mm wide at shoulders.

If you PM me beforehand I can take the pair of seats to Stoneleigh on Monday morning - I will be there 10am-12am

£215 for the pair

fog lights, front grill, numberplate plinth sold.

any takers for a full 1.8 K-Series engine in excellent condition? 87k miles. ECU available too..

rear glass still available, this would be ideal for some sort of middy locost I think?

wheels will be coming off the car around 10th June.

remote bypass thermostat

The Elise had the PRT kit fitted, but I won't need a thermostat for the new engine.

So available for sale, quite a tidy piece. You can use this to replace an internal thermostat and help reduce warm-up times. They also probably suffer from less leakage than internally housed thermostats. All hose spigot ODs are 35mm. Weight is only 256grams

Hey,

Does that fit the standard system? How does it work? What are the advantages of using it, apart from reduced warm up times?
