I've recently switched from Nodiz to Megajolt.... that megajolt is a very nice little unit on a blacktop with bike carbs... bargain for someone.

I thought nodiz did the same as mega jolt. Why the switch?
(And bump the same post)

I have a 2.0 Blacktop & Bike carbs..
My Nodiz which when compared to an old dizzy was worlds better.
It was easy to fit & worked - but then it broke & had to be replaced.
The only way to connect & map it is via a Bluetooth dongle which never worked well for me.
Mapping software crashed a lot sometimes leaving random bin writes.
My rolling road sessions took ages with constant connection drop outs & software freeze.
I was never happy with my maps due to feeling the operator had been stressing with it.
But hey - it was easy to fit & worked..
Megajolt/e ..I really like..
It was cheap to buy - bought mine from USA online.
It has a hard wired cable & 100% reliable connection.
Very easy to setup.
Works very well when mobile on the road with a passenger & laptop.
Less map boxes make map bins far more stable & easier to adjust.
Genuine Ford EDIS coil drivers & limp home mode - (kinda feels better).
I can now switch between two maps on the fly. (Cold startup/Fuel Octane, etc).
Most rolling roads know how to use it quickly & easily.
It has big support & maps plus nice easy reliable open source software.

Is this still available?
EDIS4 - 4 cylinder? I've not read into it yet but I assume running 8 cyclinders is minor tweaks to the loom and another coil pack?
This could be useful for getting a Thor or GEMs engine running with my 14CUX injection from my RV8 3.9! The latter two would need unlocking and
I'm nervous about running an engine in on a Megasquirt even if it is my final aim!
Cheers,
Wes.
Edit: Nervous about running in a fiddled with engine on megasquirt...!

Yes you need a megajolt and another 4cly coil pack, but then you'll need an EDIS8 (with a plug) to run it, the EDIS4 won't cut it
Loads of info on the autosportslabs sites....
