For Sale – JBA Falcon Project

Well folks the unthinkable has happened I’m about to sell my beloved Falcon, oh gawd

I’ve had to write this over several days to make sure its right but any other queries just ask, my reason for selling it is simply I can’t drive this on the roads in France which is where I will be moving to very sad

The story so far – There was me one morning driving along about a month after fitting the 2.8 v6 to it when some SOAB turns into my path and bang, oh sh$t, I was very unhappy.

So I bought the car back determined to get her back on the road, stripped her down to just the chassis a body tub. Got drawings from JBA for the front end and make a whole new front section, also managed to get a new Cortina subframe and suspension system. Bought new front wings, radiator surround, rack and radiator plus a new top bonnet section. I’m selling everything I have for this car which is a fare amount so I’ll just do one big list putting on the main things –

1) Rolling Chassis and body, fitted engine, 5-speed gearbox and fuel tank fitted engine can be shown running.
2) New front wings
3) Refurbished ford Cortina Alloys + new tyres (remoulds, I like to drift)
4) Bonnet top panels, side panels I have but was going to make new ones
5) Stainless radiator surround, can be polished with a bit of work, also has stainless grill
6) Side exhaust already made up, just needs the rear mounting done, carbon bike can.
7) Doors have removable (screws) side screens with glass windows
8) Wiper mechanism is fitted
9) Stainless windscreen surround is supplied; really just needs the glass cut.
10) Have all the expensive lights, Chrome on brass headlights, sidelights
11) New brake master cylinder + the original vacuum servo (tested works fine)
12) New handbrake cable (needs shortening)
13) Comes with great Triumph seats in brown (use them they are ideal for this car) also supplied are the door interior panels that match.
14) Recently fitted before the accident was a new hood from JBA, no tears and currently stored in the dining room.
15) An unfinished (barely started infact) hard top from JBA, tried the fit no issues just needs painting and trimming.
16) Fuel tank is stainless steel, Cortina sender unit and filled with anti explosive foam (not the fastest thing in the world to fill)
17) New luggage rack for the back, currently fitted
18) Got a heap of switches, fuse box plus the speedo (calibrated)
19) The engine is a ford reconditioned 2.0 pinto @ 37k, the diff is also a recon one as is the 4-speed gearbox, don’t ask for proof as I don’t have the receipts any more though I will have a look.
20) I have a new propshaft supplied by JBA but it needs extending due to me shorting it for the 7, yes I do regret doing that
21) I have a steering rack but no key for it and also have a wooded steering wheel plus the hub.
22) New dampers all round also.
23) Oh there’s loads of other stuff I just can’t remember right now, well I’m sure you get the picture.

I need to get the Bluebird back on its wheels to get the Falcon out and that will take another week, yes I still haven’t finished that! Painting the engine and gear box now Pictures of it in my archive if you want more or any specific areas just say.

Please note this car is still registered as a JBA Ford Falcon X reg, it is a cat D so can go for and MOT and then get an inspection from a vehicle assessor to confirm it is repaired correctly so - no SVA test!

Price £1300 buyer collects, cash only….so Mr Um bongo from Nigeria sod off I ain’t shipping it for £100k before you ask. I’ll post this here first then after a week it will be advertised in the kit car mags.

Fame is when your old car is plastered all over the internet
