2001 Mazda 323F 1.8SE for sale.

Hi all,

Thought I'd post on here before offering it to the masses.

I'm selling my Mazda 323F 1.8SE to help fund my MK R1 project.

There are more photos in my gallery, let me know if you want the hires versions or more photos. Car is based in Derby.

The spec. includes (but not restricted to):

Full climate control - set the temperature and the computer maintains it automatically. Also includes a very fast windscreen demist mode.

ABS.

Traction control - very useful if you get a bit heavy footed (can be manually switched off).

Trip/Cruising computer – shows tank range, average MPG, total MPG.

Electrically controlled and heated door mirrors.

Power steering.

Disk brakes all round.

15” Alloy wheels.

Front driving lamps – one has filled with water.

Multifunction front seats - passenger folds down into a picnic table. Drivers side has lots of adjustability.

Reclining rear seats with 60/40 split, 3 full seatbelts and three headrests. Can be folded flat for extra boot space.

Electric front windows – drivers side has lock function.

Detachable drawbar – Only ever pulled a motorbike trailer when doing track-days.

Sony CD multi-changer Stereo with operating manual..

Starts first time every time.

Loads of supporting documents and receipts. Original owners manual and service book, etc.

11 months MOT. Car is currently SORN.

Good tyres all round – rear nearside brand new.

80% life in the front and 90% in the rear brake pads. I changed the rears last year.

Last service and MOT (October 2008) the following was fitted:

New battery, New nsr calliper, new front and rear anti-roll bar, new nsr tyre.

Not so good bits.

Water has managed to get into the osf front driving lamp.

Previous owner touched up part of the offside rear door due to light scratch, and is starting to fade.

Rear bumper has small crack where the drawbar locking lever catches.

There are 2 small stone chips in windscreen. I got these two weeks apart about 3 years ago. Neither of these are an MOT failure and neither have grown.

I’ve owned it for the past 5 years in which time it has never let me down, I work all over the UK and need a car to get around. The only reason I’m letting it go now is because I need a bigger car due to work requirements. It has 112,000 miles on the clock, but most of them have been in the past 2 years commuting between Derby and Leeds.

Don’t let the mileage put you off, due to the fairly low state of tune (?), these cars can easily show 200K before anything goes wrong with them. One survey showed that 97.5% of 323F owners had nothing go wrong in the first 3 years compared to 75% for Ford Focus owners (the 323F and Focus are basically cousins).

It has a full dealer service history up to 54,000, after that I started doing them myself. I usually keep my cars for 2 years then sell, but I enjoyed this car so much I kept it longer. It has had 2 dealer services since then, with the last one in October of this year, where it needed new anti-roll-bars and a rear brake calliper.

The Mazda 323F is a fantastic handling car which never fails to be a joy to drive, regardless of the weather conditions. I’m after £1850 for a quick sale – book price is £2850.

Finally back on the job!
