Bike Engine Variable-Vane Turbo / Manifold

Aerodyne Aerocharger Turbo and Manifold.

Came from an American tuning co.

This text in cap's below is HIS description - as given to me at time of sale (last month). I've never used it, so can't verify it.

£349 for the Turbo - £129 for the Manifold - or £399 for both!

"NICE LOW MILEAGE MR TURBO AERODYNE AEROCHARGER.

I INSTALLED THIS TURBO ON A CUSTOMER'S 1993 HONDA CBR 900 RR IN THE LATE 1990'S. IT HAS ABOUT 2000 MILES ON IT. THE INCREASED HORSEPOWER TORE THE GEARBOX & CLUTCH BASKET OUT AND DESTROYED THE ENGINE.

I HAVE SOLD THE PLENUM AND ELECTRONICS. THESE TURBOS ARE A V.A.T.N. (VARIABLE VANE). THIS TYPE OF TURBO MAINTAINS BOOST AT LOW RPM'S, SO YOU DON'T HAVE THE USUAL TURBO LAG. THIS BIKE MADE 265 REAR WHEEL HORSEPOWER ON MY DYNOJET MODEL 250 MOTORCYCLE DYNO IN 1997.

UNIQUE TO THIS TURBO IS THAT IT MAINTAINS ITS OWN OIL SUPPLY AND DOES NOT REQUIRE AN AUXILLARY OIL FEED AND DRAIN BACK.

THE FOUR EXHAUST PIPES ARE NICE AND SHORT & PLUMBED FOR AN OXYGEN SENSOR.

THE TURBO AND PIPES WILL FIT CBR 900 RR, KAWASAKI ZX-11 AND PROBABLY MANY OTHERS. IT HAS BEEN CHECKED OUT AND IS IN PROPER WORKING ORDER".

Tempting!

Have you got any more photos of the manifold?

That manifold would place the turbo ideally when installed on a bike - i,e, just in front of the front wheel and quite low.

Not sure it would be a great position for a BEC turbo install unless you were starting from scratch and could mount your engine a little more over to the RH side.

Aerodyne turbo would be superb for a BEC turbo though - go on Mike!
