Collecting my kit next thursday!

...and I can't wait!

I placed the order at Stoneleigh and got the collection date from Baz yesterday.

I just need to hire a van then I think I'm ready to go collect. Are the LWB sprinter type vans generally recommended for collections?

Cheers
Lee - looking forward to the build!

Well done my mate, can't you borrow the company bus and sling it in?!

I'll pop in on Friday to see how much you've got done!

If you get it finished before next summer you can join in one of our Blats.

Good luck with the build.

An MK kit will comfortably fit in a Sprinter / Transit.

Can I suggest that you print out the MK price list before you set off. Tick things off as you load them into the van.

I was so excited about collecting my kit I didn't get my front upper wishbones or bushes for the pedals. Not major, but was a pain having to go back for them!

Thanks for the tip Mike, I'll definitely take your advice there

My goal is to have it on the road in 12 months (we'll see!) . If it is, I'd love to join you lot on a blat next summer. I read the thread and it sounded like you had really good fun

I'm not anticipating much sleep at all next weds!

cheers,
Lee

Hi All,

As you can see I am new to this site. I have been trying to register, but it kept on telling me I was a spammer

Anyway, I will be collecting my RH2B next Friday and can't wait.

I look forward to getting to know everyone here, as I am sure I will be asking advice etc,.

Just noticed that I've put my first entry into the wrong thread area, being MK Indy etc,.

Sorry if I've offended anybody.

Thanks for the offer Al, I'm sure I'll be needing help at some point! It would be handy to compare notes too. I'm in Sprowston, is that far from where you are?

Collected my order from MK today and safely back home now.
Had a bit of a mare during collection though as the chassis was still at the powder coaters and hadnt yet been powder coated

Rather than go home with all the bits but minus the chassis I said I was prepared to wait but needed to be on the road by 12.30 to get home, unloaded, re-fuel the hire van then drop the van back off at the rental place before 5pm. I think I got on the road at 13.00 with the van loaded, (the chassis was still hot from the powder coating!) and dropped the van off at 4.55 tonight.

Needless to say I'm relaxing with a beer now! cheers to MK for getting the chassis done with another powder coating company at the last minute after being let down by the first

All ready to start!
