Xantia Estate 1.9TD

1998 (R) CITROEN XANTIA Estate 1.9TD
My dads car, its got to go as he's been given (well he bought it but it was too cheap to refuse) one from work. Its also got to go because its currently taking up room on my drive!!
He's had it for about 4 years, its been used as his daily drive and airport transport for all the family. He works local so probably only does 3k a year. Mechanically its wanted for nothing, he's got lazy in his old age and its been in the local garage at the drop of a hat. Past MOT's have been no problem and there are no known faults with the car, its just had £200's worth of power steering pump fitted a couple of weeks ago along with new belts, it had disks, pads and front drop link bushes in April and over the previous years its had all the engine belts done and the rear suspension globes. Keypad Immobiliser went dickie last year so link on fuel pump was disabled, lights still flash but you don't need to enter a code.
Car has done 176k but runs spot on. I n fact the engine is better than my newer Xsara with 110k less miles on the clock! Anyone interested in a workhorse / daily run about / tow car this is the car. It has a tow bar but to be honest its never been used by him as the luggage space is huge, it' s like a tardis inside!
Car is dark metallic green, it has air con, remote central locking, electric windows, tow bar, luggage cover, radio cassette with aux input for ipod etc. Its taxed till 28/02/10, MOT'd till 30/08/09. Body work is rust free and in very good condition for age and mileage, front seats have wear to bolsters as you would expect at this mileage but the rest of interior is sound. I've been running it for the past couple of weeks while I've been waiting for a radiator for my saab and can only find a couple of negatives; (1) It needs a wash, I'm sure he will do this for you! (2) Front seats are a bit worn, some £5 seat covers from Argos would sort this, (3) Rear wiper motor seized just after he got it so we removed it, you could get a replacement from the scrappers for a £10 but he's never missed it so hasn't bothered.(4) Its not the best of starters, it starts every time but is a bit hesitant, will probably need a new set of glow plugs? , easy diy task, £24 a set from German, Swedish & French.
Must be worth £500?

Car is Nr Keighley West Yorkshire.

U2U me or give me a tinkle on 07748624275 if your interested.
