99 r1 still not starting!

Hello all, just spent another few hours trying to get the bloody car to start and still not getting a spark!!!

I have checked the following today:

+ve and -ve to ECU
+ve to the coils
Crank sensor
Side stand and neutral switches

All above seem to check out ok, so any more ideas (before I set fire to the bloody thing!)
Thanks in advance

Lee

bad earth on main loom
Break in wire somewhere
wire fallen off back of switch / relay
blown ecu fuse - the 30 amp one
fuel pump working now / ticking
is it trying to start

Time for a change!

This might sound daft and obvious, but have you tried a different set of plugs? I had a very similar issue to you with a Blade engine though and all of the voltages, etc.. were reading exactly as they should be as well.

We checked the HT leads and saw they were working so swapped the plugs over and hey presto, we had spark again.

Tried all of those, all the wiring looks fine, in fact not touched and was working fine on track day Sunday until it spluttered then died, fuel pump had gone so got a replacement and now no spark! It turns over though

Do you have a diagnostic mode on the clocks, with the 2003 R1 you can get the clocks to fire the plugs to at least see if you can get a spark

Have you got the R1's tilt switch fitted?
If so is it:
a) connected
b) not tilted
