Fixing trumpets to throttle bodies
The mouth of my throttle bodies id 56mm od, 50mm id, I have aquired some 50mm id trumpets which match perfectly.
Question is what fixing methods have you used?
My trumpets are slightly bigger od, and I can machine them to be the same as the bodies, would a wide hose clip do the job with a smeer of silicone
sealant?
They will be left open, no filters....

Why? When a good air filter can actually improve the BHP in the short term and save your engine in the long term.....

Having seen the crud I clean out of the filters after even a short time, there's no way I'd run without them.
As for fixing them - if there are mounting bolts on the throttle bodies, flanges are pretty simple to make up, particularly if you have access to a
lathe. I've used Araldite to fix the trumpets into the flanges - works well and can be separated with heat if need be.
If it's round to round, I'd look for silicon or rubber tube to join the two (across the O.D.) with good worm drive clamps.

I made some collars to go around the ram pipes about 12mm bigger then the od of ram pipe and then tapped a 4mm hole in each collar to go through and
clamp on the TB.
I am also running with no filter at present but it is very noisy and im always worried about loose gravel etc so am presently making an airbox.
