FS bubble aeroscreen (SOLD) and mirror (STILL AVAILABLE)
EDIT - screen now sold to Davy. Mirror still available.
FS as I have given in and bought a full screen: an eBay black gloss double bubble fibreglass aeroscreen. It is the one that the guy sells for £35 +
£9.99 P&P
Mine is used and has a few surface scratches but nothing too major. It is drilled to fit to the scuttle (7 or 9 holes from memory) and is also
drilled on the top to fit an adapted mirror - see below.
On the leading edge I have got some Woolies rbber U trim to keep it neat and stop water etc coming under the front. It is not glued on, so you don;t
have to use it if you don't want to.
I am looking for £20 + P&P - not sure how much it would to send be as it is very light but largish. If anyone is interested, I will find out and
confirm before posting, or you can come and collect from Sevenoaks (Kent), a Newlands meeting (near Guildford) or possibly Reading as I go to the
office there one day every week or two.
Also FS, the mirror I was using: I bought it from a Westfield owner but it looks like a Sierra mirror or similar. I adapted it for the aeroscreen by
cutting off the mount, fixing it in a tube and aralditing a threaded stud in. It goes through the aeroscreen, through a stabilising bracket and
through the scuttle. Say £5 + P&P, or pick up as above.
Pics below:
1. screen as it is now, off the car
2. screen on the car before I fitted the mirror
3. & 4. Mirror fitted
U2U or email me for more info or to buy
Cheers
Simon
