Bogg Bros inlet manifold for zetec

Hi,

I've been talking to Bogg Brothers today with regard to making up an inlet manifold to fit GSXR600 throttle bodies to my zetec. Taking some measurements of where the top chassis rail is in relation to the inlet face, the manifold will need to be angled upwards slightly to clear.

Other that this angle (and me not knowing too much about manifolds!) is there anything else I need to specify before I place the order? The throttle bodies I have are the type that can be seperated for re-spacing if needed. Is it best to re-space the tb's and have straight tubes from the manifold or leave the tb spacing as it is and have the manifold made to match?

sorry for the questions, just want to make sure I don't miss anything

Thanks

Lee

here is a guide i done on making a manifold for a zetec, its not that difficult especially if a silvertop using standard injector plate. As for respacing may be easier for making manifold, but then need to get a new fuel rail if using the GSXR injectors.

Mount them onto a ST170 inlet manifold like this and re space them - very easy

Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

Hi,

Got my 750 TB / Zetec Silver manifiold from Bogg Bros few months back.
Non spaced.

I measured from the manifold face to top rail and got a space of 193mm and the
bottom row of flange bolts were 15mm below the top face of the top chassis rail.

The 193mm was obviously at the front of the engine where the gap is narrowest due to the taper.

They added a small sweep up to ensure everything would clear chassis.

Cheers

do all zetecs have this - i've got an inlet manifold in the garage and it seems to be a all in one piece plastic unit.

Thanks all, that Bogg manifold looks really nice

StevenB, the measurements I took from the inlet face to the top chassis rail match yours so I'll definitely need the slight angle upwards too. It'll save me some work if the manifold is suited to the current TB spacing as shown in the image you posted.

Thanks again,

Lee

Do Bogg Bros make to your dimensions, ie carb spacings, angles, overall length etc? Or do they have a standard zetec manifold design for example?

Do they charge more for customising?
