I had 17" on my first car and now have 13" and I am far happier with 13's.

Isn't it only subjective if you have no ulterior objective for your car?

you'll need 50 inch ones to cope with pot holes

I have 15" as i thought that was the majority and maybe is. But preference on here seems to have turned to 13"....

Whatever you do ,make sure that the rolling radius of whatever you go for is at least the same as the distance from the centre of the hub to the
ground. Otherwise, you will have real problems with traction and grip

Got 13" on mine too
Think about it, think about it again and then do it.

I think the general consensus is as small as possible (13 inch) if its ultimate handling/lightest wheels you want, but I personally think 15 inch
195/50s look best.

13" on mine with 205/55 tyres, and they are to wide for such a light car
I will be changing the fronts to 195 soon
