Ah, this old chestnut.....
And suppose you both have the money? What do you suggest? A race to Neils house and the first one to get the cash in his wallet, wins the item? Or is it the first one to ring his doorbell?
What usually happens, although this depends on the seller, is that folks call 'dibs'. First dibs get the chance to pay for and buy the item. If they don't follow through the sale, then it's offered to second dibs, etc... Seems perfectly normal to me!

Dont worry, I have the casn and probably live within 25miles of Neil, who has graciously said he can wait until after Tuesday when I will be mobile again !

Whats the 'funny'smell in here ?
