Audi A6 diesel - sensible price now!
FOR SALE: Audi A6 Avant Quattro 'Le Mans' 3.0 diesel.
I've had it just over three years and bought it from an Audi main dealer. It was a dealer demonstrator and is therefore a fantastically
spec'd car in terms of options.
The basics:
- Early 2008 car on a 57 registration
- 55,000 miles
- 3.0 turbo diesel with 'Quattro' 4wd
- 6-speed tiptronic auto box with DSP (a £1400 option ON TOP of the regular auto)
- 'Le Mans' spec, essentially an S-Line car with bigger wheels and some extras
- Audi main dealer history up to 3 years old, Audi specialist (VASS-Tech, Whitchurch) after that.
- MOT to January no advisories (but I'll put another year on it if necessary)
- Tax to end of January
The details:
- Phantom Black with the sought-after 'black styling pack' (a £400 option!)
- Privacy glass (factory fitted, not aftermarket tints)
- 19" wheels, tyres have done 7000 miles
- Full black 'S-line' Milano leather interior with sports seats and black headlining
- MMI 'High' with colour screen in the dash
- Colour 'DIS' screen in binnacle
- DVD sat nav
- 6xCD changer with mp3 support
- Bose audio system - a £600 option
- 'Audi music interface' (AMI) hard drive mp3 system with iPod/iPhone integration
- Adaptive Xenon headlights (automatically turn into corners)
- Heated seats
- Power operated tailgate
- Rear LED lights
- Interior LED lighting pack
- Bluetooth phone system with phone book integration and voice control
- Cruise control with 'Enhanced brake system' (aka cruise control can apply the brakes)
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Rear parking camera
- Matt-brushed aluminium fascias
- Load area fixing kit
- Tow bar (dealer fitted with all the software changes done)
It's had a Viezu remap installed which takes it to 280bhp and 430lb/ft so, despite being nearly 2000kg, it's no slouch. The book says the
stock Quattro Avant will do 0-62 in 7.1s and 153mph and I'm roughly 50bhp up on that. Economy wise it will do 34-36mpg 'real world'
and 42mpg isn't unreasonable on a motorway trip. If you drive like a saint you can see 46mpg! It really is a 'Jekyll and Hyde' car
in that it's quiet, refined, practical and economic most of the time but can show a clean pair of heels if you give it a tickle!
Overall condition is excellent as it would be from an enthusiast owner. The leather interior is unmarked, just a little bolster wear on the drivers
side as you would expect from a 55k/5 year old car. The outside has a couple of stone chips again consistent with age/mileage but I'm very
particular about where I park it (it drives the Mrs mad!) so the bodywork overall is in excellent condition, no trolley marks, door dinks, or anything
like that.
I bought it outright so there are no finance issues. An HPI will show a plate change which is on the car now. I'll take it off when it sells
unless someone happens to want it!
All in all a very nice car in great condition. I spent several months looking for the 'right' car when I bought it and did a fair bit of
travelling to various Audi dealers around the country. It was a £40k car when new and, having been originally spec'd by a main dealer, has a
great mix of options.
Price: £15,995

Indeed. I have the US-spec black Audi badge on it too since that photo was taken so there is no chrome on it anywhere. The only non-black bits are
the 'Le Mans' emblems under the repeaters, 'Quattro' on the back, and 'S-Line' on the grille.
(The original chrome Audi badge is included and just pops in and out)

New car now located which means this is REALLY up for sale now!
I was probably being a bit cheeky on price last time partly because I hadn't found a suitable replacement yet. Now dropped to a far more
realistic £15,995.
Really nice example, and a car I'm probably going to regret selling in the future, but I've had an 'über saloon' itch to
scratch for a while now and seeing as I'm not going to commuting for a while I want to get it out of my system while the time is right to keep
the fuel bill down.
