MK 1700 X-flow

This car was built by my Father and correctly SVA'd and put on the road in Jan2005. It was used until Sept 2008 and then dry stored. During that time it was hardly used. This is a fantastic little car being sold as a 'Winter Project'. To be honest calling it a project is an injustice. It just needs a little finishing off. It really is a super little car. I will get some photo's of it soon.
After retiring and moving down south he has decided to sell it. The car is currently located in Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham.

Main selling points
MK De Dion chassis Panhard rod ,diff bolted to chassis.
Aluminium panels ,glass fibre bonnet / wings
Sierra running gear / gear box / brakes ,modified steering rack eliminates bump steer.
Suspension powder coated and poly bushed , gaz coils all round.
Stainless steel petrol tank ,facet electric pump ,stainless aero filling cap
1700 xflow rally cam l/balanced ported bv head l/flywheel steel posts ,hp pump.130 hp new, twin 40 webers stainless exhaust
Richfield seats /headrests / 4point harness
Elec fan ,4 ETB instruments + warning lights ,detachable steering wheel
Good track day tyres ,nearly new .
Sva,d and on the road Jan 2005
Less than 3000 miles ,needs paintwork finishing .
Last used 2008 and garage stored.

I also think its got electronic ignition, ill have a look later when i take the pics.

I cant really say its got any bad points. I couldnt get it to fire up the other day but suspect this is due to it hardly having any fuel in it, and whats there is almost 5 years old! To be honest i hardly tried as i dont have time these days to play with cars due to work. I think a mouse might have inherited one of the harnesses to make a nest so they may need replacing. As with any car that is re-instated after storage you need to check over the pipes and lines etc, but ive not seen any leaks. The panels need painting, but this allows the next lucky owner to make it their own. I will just point out for clarity that this is not an MK Indy, it is the MK chassis package with De-dion axle and Sierra running gear. I would advise a trailer to take it away and have a friend with a transporter who would be willing to quote for delivery.

We are asking £2,450 ovno. Come and have a look and we can chat about it.

Cheers,

MASSIVE apologies to those people who have sent me U2U's about the car.

Like a fool I managed to get myself locked out of my account just after posting the ad! I've just got back in, hence only just seeing the messages. photos will follow soon.
