Mods at the weekend

Hi all,

I got tinkering at the weekend.

Not to everyones taste i know.

As much as I would love to have the real stuff was very happy with the results!

I sadly cheated and brought it like that.

Think the guy who i brought it off had the cage made for the car but not sure where!

Looks like a fairly standard MK Indy cage to me, very mixed comments on its suitability, but while I might not using for circuit racing it appears to me untrained eye to be an acceptable compromise between a 'RAC Style' roll over hoop and a full race spec cage.

Exactly what I was thinking, perfectly good for track days. Think a spot of design borrowing may be in order

Standard MK tucks inside the cockpit and has an S bend that arguably goes againt MSA guidance.
The one pictured seems to only have 1 bend at the windscreen angle so should comply with blue book guidance.

I personally prefer the ones with the side bars/front vertical bars going on the outside of the car.

Alwasy wondered where the cage came from.

Pretty sure he had it added onto the existing roll bar.

Only for road use currently!
