Locost ST
As much as it pains me, my St170 powered locost is up for sale.
SVA'd in 2005, I believe this is a quite well known car. having had a few engines (X-flow & Blacktop) it now runs a 190bhp ST170 engine.
The car is back to running a Capri axle after a brief flirt with a Koln to increase the rear track, the Atlas has an open diff and 4.61 ratio,
it's attached to the car via the standard 4 trailing links and Panhard rod with rose joints fitted throughout.
A standard Sierra T9 gearbox is fitted with a Westfield remote and rose jointed quick-shift.
The chassis is book standard with the exception of having an inch added from the scuttle aft edge forwards to accommodate the zetec engines.
The steering rack mounts re-enforced and a professionally shortened 2.9 quick rack (virtually no bump-steer).
2 year old Procomp valved Protech alloy dampers and a modified Caterham front anti-rollbar.
The car sits on black 13" Team Dynamics 1.2's and R888 tyres, 185/60 in the front and 205/60 rears.
The engine has ARP rod end bolts.
Ported cylinder head, made 15bhp across the rev range.
ST inlet manifold with GSX-R1000 throttle bodies and a 5 ltr airbox (fitted after a disagreement with the marshalls at Castle Combe)
GTS tuning 4-1 exhaust with a Caterham merge collector and Custom made 7" silencer.
Omex 500 series ECU.
Double pass alloy radiator and ducted nosecone.
The interior is suited to the cars track focused nature.
Fibreglass seats are matched to the double bubble aeroscreen and fibreglass dash.
The dash houses a Koso RX2n digital dash with calibrated fuel sender and 2 oil gauges(pressure and temp)
Other features are boot large enough for toolkit, first aid kit, warning triangle and jump leads and fabric half doors.
Cost to you for all this development work is £4500, if I get close to this price I'll also include a spare set of R888's and a spare
engine with the VVC delete kit.
Photos are in my archive and for the latest have a look at SCUTTERS
website.
My apologies is I don't answer straight away as I tend to fly for weeks on end.

It sounds a good car and a very reasonable price. I'm sure it will sell no bother, may take a while as people don't have huge amounts of
spare cash. I'd have it myself if I had the pennies!

Good price IMO - it's only been for sale for 2 days.
Put it on Pistonheads if you're in a hurry
*edit* Just watched your 'walkaround' vids, looks exceptional. Can't imagine it'll be around long!
