Front wishbones

Finally got some time to do some work on the car over the last few of weeks, and have almost completed the front wishbones; just need the suspension brackets adding once I get the front shocks.

I used 27mm tube (3mm wall) throughout , so should be strong but heavier than normal.

The brackets are wider than standard so I have penny washers as spacers (allows some adjustment to castor angle). Is this OK, or will it be an issue if I ever get as far as the SVA?

You will need a lot of washers for castor!!!
I think that the top bone has to be set back 22mm in relation to the bottom one.

Used stainless washers on mine , just gives a small amount of adjustment. No problems with SVA

22mm is approx what I've got; I did wonder what the required distance was to get the 5 degrees of castor.

(I built the top wishbone using the modified dimensions mentioned elsewhere in this forum!)

Been doing mine today aswell ive gone for 25 mm offset which should be around 7 deg Of castor.

25mm dia 2mm wall cds for the bottoms and 19mm dia 2mm wall for the tops. Just need to make the custom crush tubes for the poly bushes now.

They look fine and washers won't be a problem for SVA.
