It says it's relisted due to a non-payer.

The name on the cardboard box on top of it say Roush, so it may be direct from them / Ford?
As you say, very tempting for a Cobra.
Edited to say, as 2 valve 4.2 litre V8 it puts out somewhere between 215 and 260 horse in the Mustang and 285-300 lb ft torque.

Looks like an ideal engine for donut's cobra assuming it can be got for the right price.
Auto box isn't so great, but might work ok in a Cobra - at least as a start.
215hp seems a little limp from a 4.2 litre engine, though presumably that's with all the emissions measurement faking rubbish fitted for
California.

As Coozer says, it's the engines that MG Rover were using in the ZT (&T) 260 variants, and the answer as to where he got them from is the
bankrupt stock from MG R. At one point you could get complete drop in assemblies for engine/box or rear ends.
It's 4.6 litres and 260(ish) bhp.
I've got one in mine, and compared to the old Rover V8, it's massive
I'd prefer it had an LS1 or later lump
