Testing the Water - ST170 inlet manifold

I have an ST170 inlet manifold ( complete item ) with the Throttle body, upper manifold ( dual runner ) and lower manifold ( what people use for the bike carbs conversion ).

I was going to keep it, but it seems daft to keep something if im not going ot use it...

So how mmuch is it worth? ( all, individual )

Rgds.

thanks guys, thats something to work with.

It was one of those purchases where i wanted to see if the whole manifold would fit, and the only way to tell was to buy one...

now i know it does not fit i want to raise a bit of cash and hopefully get my money back.

Here's a picture of my install using an ST170 manifold....

I paid about £125 including delivery with the fuel rail, injectors, throttle body and plenum chamber complete. I then sold the bits I didn't need which gave me a nett figure of maybe £90-£100 which I would have thought was achievable for you if it includes the fuel rail and injectors and if marketed properly???

Cheers

Now finished! Xflow-Zetec swap with GSXR TB's and Megasquirt.

Yup, but it hasn't turned up yet - it has been posted though! It didn't come with injectors or fuel rail - I'm led to believe the stock Zetec fuel rail will work (the spacing you would assume to be the same!)

no, only the stock FOCUS fuel rail will work. the early mondeo/escort fuel rail will not.

so, do you think that £100 for the part of the manifold that bolts to eh head, along with the fuel rail and injectors is a good price?

The other useful parts are the rubber couplings that go between the manifold and the plenum as you can re-use these between the manifold and the TB's. I would have happilly paid £100 for all that when I was doing mine.......

Cheers,
Chris

I'm currently using ST170 manifold with the stock blacktop fuel rail and 750 gsxr TBs. Fits OK on mine.
Maybe my blacktop was from a focus.
I'd post a pic so it could be identified but can't get it to work. Have put one in archive.

yea, sorry, did not mean to mislead - the fuel rail from a black top will fit, but not from a silvertop.

The silvertop, although same spacing has sidefed injectors which are slightly different...

Thanks Dusty and saigonij

I'm trying to get my hands on an engine and may have sfound a blacktop with all the original throttle body etc so could use the fuel rail from that. I'llbe using R1 throttle bodies. The Emerlad ECU has the facility for twin injectors soI may be tempted, although the engine spec may make it unnecessary.
