Exhaust Started

Well before I say anything else I'd like to say thanks to Dave R (for supplying the Flanges) and To Kev (for the Stainless tubing).

I've tried to be busy-ish with what was left of my day since getting up at about 12:30. I made a start on Exhaust manifold fabrication today, but I ran out of tube so I've only got 3 ready so far for initial welding (I wont do any taking until I've checked with the head of the stainless welding dept in my area). So this is what I have got so far. Hopefully I should be able to get the box and collector this week.

Looking good.

But I hope you were wearing shoes when you cut that.

Hi,

If you have the old exhaust manifold for the other side of the engine it can be very handy as a jig for welding when the pipes are no on the car.

Thats what I did when I made these for my viento:

Good luck and don't forget to buy lots of dremel bits for the polishing!
