I got the car with 60k on it as an MOT failure for £450 (it was a trade-in at a local garage)
here's a quick run through of the bits I've replaced over the years:
oil + filter every 5K (castrol GTX)
air filter every 10k
plugs gapped every 5k - replaced every 10 - 15k
front suspension ball joints and bushes when needed (done a few times now )
bushes are now all Pug genuine parts (they last longer)
{btw - these are easy to do if you have a press, and remove the arm from the car}
60k - new fuel sender
65k - 4x Driveshaft boots (still look good)
70k - rear dampers
80k - timing + fan belts
90k - new clutch
95k - Front brakes (recon calipers, new flexibles, new discs)
- Rear brakes (new drums, new wheels bearings, new shoes, new handbrake linkage)
- new Front dampers and springs
- new exhaust system (there is only 1 pipe + 1 box)
100k - new track rod ends
- Service (air filter, oil + filter, new plugs)
103k - Front wheel bearings
- s/h gearbox (from 59k car)
- driveshaft oil seals
- new gear oil
104k - new ignition amp
- new coil
- new dizzy cap + rotor arm
- new HT leads
- replaced last section of fuel pipe onto carb
some things have been done more than once, but I've only listed the last time it was done

there is no way I'd have done all that if I wasn't planning to keep the car - but plans change
if you add up all the parts - on average I've spent about £250 - 300 a year on the car.....
...which is about the same as its average value over the same time
so there can't be much left to replace
