Seized calipers???? HELP

I am trying to refurb a set of M16 calipers and the pistons will not come out. I have the kit from Big red but, pistons only come part way out am I missing something or not

Any suggestions

what are you doing to get them out?

I managed to get one piston out usng screw drivers to lever it out against the recess - very time consuming.

the sensible and clean but not necessarily safest way is to use compressed air or just connect back to hydraulic system and press the pedal.

you need to clamp one piston otherwise you find both may move but not sufficiently to pop either one out.

You need to make a clamp to hold one piston in while you pump the other one out. Fit seals in one side of the caliper then repeat for the other.

As I got them off a scrapper then I think I may have a few problems getting them out

blow some air into them. 150 psi should do it

Tip put a piece of wood inbetween the pistons and keep your fingers well clear.

When they pop they will pop
