arrangement

If it has a 3 bolt fixing on the stick like T9 but still 4 speed it will be from an early 2.0 Sierra
It was a hybrid of the Type 9 and 4 speed 2.0 Cortina / RS2000
It should have Type 9 synchro rings, 3rd 4th selector hub and input shaft but the rest of the box was mostly early parts.

Type 3-4speed-7/8"x20 spline input shaft
Type E-4speed 1"x23 spline input shaft (rocket)
Type 9-5speed 1"x23 spline input shaft
Type E & T9 have the same gearstick fittings 3 bolt , i keep an E as as spare , T9 fitted in place of the E straight swap , apart from rubber
mount .

the pictures are wrong on the burtons site in that case.
i based my type 3 suggestion on the gerastick mounting flange being the same.

Hi yep the burton site as good as it is is not that accurate.
As BearingKits says it is a hybrid type 9 Or a codge of the bits that where lying around ford at the time that would take the power of the 2.0l
sierra.
It will have the same gear ratios as the 5 speed Ie: 3.65 1st 1.97 2nd 1.37 3rd and 1 4th OTTOMH.
Cheers Matt

ford have aways been good at bodging together the leftovers - so it makes it nearly impossible for anyone to have a completly accurate list of what
they built
