Can't help with the MK but I can do a ride in a Fury R1. I'm in Hyde/Stalybridge (east of Manchester) though.
My missus wouldn't allow a detour to Newcastle on our journey damn her!

My thoughts last year started to flow towards a Vauxhall VX220 Turbo / Lotus Elise, same sort of thing you have done.
I had a run out in an MK Midi a few weeks ago and Im still smiling now !!
The noise and performance are spectacular, forget the Lotus slant on things they are duffers...
