As I have started to mount my front suspension I have noticed that there is some play in the wishbone brakets / bolt / polybush insert play of about
1mm or less.
I am using M12 bolts, the mounting holes in the brackets are 12.5mm, and the inner diameter of the polybush inserts are 13mm.
Is the mentioned play acceptable or am I doing something wrong?
i had the same problem, i believe your crush tubes are for 1/2inch bolts not M12. Youll need new crush tubes. I just bought a length of tube the right diameter and cut them myself
Bummer! It seams Darren sent me the wrong stuff. The inserts I received are steel ones instead of stainless as advertised on GTS site.

Hi
To be fair it's not just Darren that dose this. Half the kit manufacturers where supplying 12mm bolts to be used in 1/2" bore brackets and
crush tubes.
Cheers Matt
I have not drilled to 12.5mm all of the brackets.
The biggest problem is that I can't obtain locally the adequate size tube to make the crush tubes.
Is there a place that I could order only the crash tubes for M12 bolts or should I go for 1/2" bolts?

1/2" UNF bolts would be ok if you can source them more easily, the only downside is that you end up with a mix of imperial and metric fasteners.
you may struggle getting imperial bolt sizes outside of the uk.
IrvineD is building his car in Holland and is trying his best to make everything metric to avoid this problem. U2U him to see what he's done
about suspension bolts etc.
Yep, no imperial nuts and bolts in my proximity. Thankfully there are web shops online I can order from.
