What are these called ??

Could someone please tell me what these are called and are they standard on the Ford Sierra drive shafts, if so where can I purchase them from?

Sorry. I just went into the local ford dealer and showed the parts guy a pic, he brought up on the microfische and bobs your uncle. They are std on sierras, some granadas and escort cosworths

I'd think about lock wiring those socket head bolts in, I've seen them loosen off from horsed up tight loads of times.

I don't think there's any official name for them - they've been referred to as "drive shaft washers" or "banana washers" or even "two hole washers".

Word is that Ford still stock them.

You don't need the special "twin hole" washers - you can just use normal ones.

OEM the CVs and shafts come with a paper gasket between them, which compress over time and slacken. If you don't use the gasket, just boll*ck up to FT, and then a thin smear of silicone around the joint to stop any CV grease making a bid for freedom

I've never seen one with a paper gasket, but oem usually fit either heavy section spring washers under the bolt or locking compound on the thread.

still nice and tight only checked last weekend and I am pushing 300horses
