Rover P6 exhaust manifold and SD1 clutch slave cylinder
craig1410 - 27/1/04 at 10:35 PM

Hi,
Anyone got an offside Rover P6 exhaust manifold going spare? How about a clutch slave cylinder for an SD1? I've got a slave cylinder already but it has corrosion on the bore so I need a good one.

Given the weight of the manifold you will need to be fairly local to Kilmarnock/Glasgow.

Cheers,
Craig.

I will be getting a slave cylinder from Brakes International. They sell new ones for £19.30 +vat & P&P. Might be easier just to replace it completely?

If you register (Free) at their online catalogue you can order the stuff online. web address below.

They seem to go on ebay for reasonable money quite often.

Thanks, I have a logon with brakepart I just forgot about them and didn't try...

Simon,
No, I'm just keeping my options open. I'm concerned that I won't be able to get the pipes to come out without making them too twisty. As you know, I've got extra triangulation tubes on my chassis which make it a bit more difficult than yours. My steering column to downlink joint is also very close to the SD1 manifold and this will be made worse if I cut 'n' shut the manifold. I am thinking of doing a slightly slanted cut 'n' shut which would direct the flange downwards more. This might give me the angle I need.

Still trying to decide what to do.
Cheers,
Craig.
