you don't say if its push on or bolt on driveshafts, what type is the diff?

That was quick!

Its a Renault UN1 diff I'm going to "adapt" the driveshafts in the best locost fashon.

Don't suppose it matters what type they are. Is there any difference apart from the diff end as I have a few horsepower now to push through them.

Nope they are the same apart from where they join the diff, hope your welding is good. If you’re using a tube to join them it is best to cut a slot in the ends so the weld is acting like a key rather than simply getting twisted at the end. Balance is not an issue due to the low revs and small diameter. The hub is different for either drums or disks mind as the lugs for the callipers are cast into them.

Yup I welded the Renault 25 ones currently used with no problems and they stood up to 2 days on the rolling road.

Only need to change them to fit different upright geometry - have you got a couple handy?

I've got a pair of spare bolt-on shafts, but I've only got 2 used CV's left and no hubs
the shafts are from a granada

I have a set of bolt-on shafts, hubs and hub carriers. U2U me to discuss price and shipping (I'm in Surrey).

I also have a 3.38 7" diff (South African spec, so iron rather than aluminium but direct replacement for the 7" european diff).

Fantastic! thanks I presume the CV's bolt on to the flanges and the splined ends of the half shafts fit into the cv's.

Should be easy to adapt to the renault box
