Caterham Gearbox spacer

Before I hand over my hard earned to Caterham, does anyone have the spacer that caterham sell that goes between the gearbox and bellhousing to allow you to use the xr4i gearbox?

Cheers

Adrian

Just in case you got excited at seeing a reply!

But! I am interested in what it's for. Isn't the Xr4i box the same as other Sierra's? Or is this to fit a k-series-to-Type9 bellhousing?

Does the Xr4i not have a MT75 anyway...with fixed bellhousing?

Just curious! I'm probbly just being daft!

Cheers,
James

Sorry, wasn't quite specific enough! It's the type 9 gearbox that was used on the ford V6. It has better gear ratios than the normal type 9, and it's the 5 speed gearbox that Caterham used as standard because of this. However, the input shaft is longer, so to use a normal type 9 bellhousing on a zetec, pinto, crossflow etc., Caterham produce an ali spacer that goes between gearbox and bellhousing to make up the difference. See the link below..
