car with trailer and somebody to tow it - willing to pay
Steve Lovelock - 11/3/09 at 09:17 PM

I need to get my next project from North Norfolk to North London, roughly 120 miles and I don't have a car with a tow bar or a trailer. I am happy to hire a trailer but can't work out how I can obtain a car to tow it with. So I was wondering if anybody wanted to meet me at Saxlingham near Holt and then tow the car to North London? Naturally I'd cover costs and pay for your time.

Any takers?

Hi Steve

Can't help with towing, but in the past I've hired vans to tow car trailers.

There is a company that hires out 4x4s for towing... or van hire with towbar?

I've just booked this to tow my car to the rolling road. They are based in North London and you can drive it on a car license too.

Edmonton is just around the corner, that is great, thank you. Do you mind me asking how much they charged?

It ain't cheap at £80/24hrs, but for that it's fully insured and unlimited mileage.

I ended up hiring a van with towbar and then a trailer seperately to get my car to DVLA, ended up costing me best part of £160 by the time fuel, straps etc had been bought!!

What's the project? Depending on weight, I might be able to help out.

I booked from icanhire, delighted to have a solution. Locostbuilders is a great site.

Thanks
