Turns out the heeader tank I've got is no good, the bottom hose is to small a bore ar 8mm, I need more like 12mm.

Now I could probably get it adapted, but I'm on a time constraint so I can drive it to SVA retest next week without the hassle of getting hold of a trailer again.

So has anybody got a header tank with a large bottom connector and small top connector?

A loan one would do as the guys who made up my ali one will adapt it for me.

No good, as it still restricts the input into the tank to 8mm....

I've got a polo one knocking about somewhere. I'll check the dimensions later, but I think it's about right.

Cheers - hold off for a sec as I may be able to get my existing tank altered by a local engineers I've been put onto.

i have used a reno clio one (2000 on) cheap and plentyfull. also pretty sure its 12 mm as i had same problem as you, its got a smaller top pipe too.
