I'm after a cheap working 500 or 600 slot 1 100fsb processor for my old computer. Anybody got one lying about. I've acquired a dvd drive so I'm trying to get another 8 years out of it.

It's a slot based cpu with Pentium III written on it. It might have a fan fastened to the back of it or a lump of finned ali.

pete,mine is 10 years old,dosnt mention pentium on it but i think ive found the bit ya want,says quantum 5.25 series and is big,heavy n has an ally case

Got one off ebay (if it works). £1 +£3 postage That sounds like a Bigfoot drive there Con, what does it spin at?, about 500 rpm(4000 actually). They are antiques now, it ought to go to the science museum really.
