i am looking for 1m of 25 box section steel if anyone has any laying round local to me? not really bothered about whay guage it is.

Look up sheet metal or fabrication companies on Yell.com and phone around.

B&Q sell it in 1 or 2metre lengths, not cheap, but if thats all you want it wont break the bank either.
