Cheapish Tin Top

Living a thousand or so miles away from my family means I struggle to help them when I should. My niece is looking for a car to replace her Clio which was flattened by some kn0b who'd dropped a cigarette whilst following her in a queue which stopped suddenly.

She's looking for a 5 door Focus, Polo, Ibiza or late model Rover 214.

She has £900 ish from her insurers to spend. Has anyone got anything reliable in this bracket that they are looking to part with.

Niece is in Frome, Somerset.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Been looking myself for a cheapo motor for my daughter. Normally you see something on every street corner with a for sale sign in the window when you want a car, da nada.
Cheers,
Bob

Been looking at fabia's for my brother to learn in. Cheap to insure, fairly reliable.

I am about to part with my '96 Volvo 850. Its in the price range, and isnt a bad car.
Its a long distance comfortable cruiser, with that HUGE Volvo lugage space, which is ideal fo the modern female with all her personal effects.

My girlfriend's parents are selling a UK registered RHD Focus 5 door 1.6 auto on a 51 plate. In the family either since new or almost new (inherited from grandparents). Her Dad is the sort that will take it for services on the dot of them being due, and spending whatever needs to be spent to keep it spot on. Therefore, it's in very good condition and will most likely have a full history. It's likely a bit above budget however, but..... it's currently in Montpellier.

Obviously i can't speak for them, but I suspect a deal could be done if they could sell it over there, and I dare say there may be an advantage to you to buy it in France and drive it back that may persuade you to stretch the budget a little?

If it's of interest, drop me a u2u and I'll put you in touch.

Chris
