WTD: stainless M5 x 75mm or 80mm bolts
Humbug - 30/5/10 at 04:45 PM

I need 4 of these: stainless M5 bolts, preferably button head or socket head in 75 or 80mm length.

Anyone's garage overflowing with them and need to free up some space?

TIA

Simon

do you want fully threaded screws?

if not, how much unthreaded shank is acceptable?

i can't help but it may help someone else sort you out

They don't have to be fully threaded - it is to fix wind deflectors in place in the hinges, so a max of about 60mm unthreaded would be OK.. I am guessing that most would be a lot less than that.

For this very application
use m5 stainless steel threaded rod with a dome on one end and a nylock on the other.

Bolts that long are just stupid expensive

Ah... good idea

On ebay it's more expensive to buy threaded bar than cap head bolts so I've just bought some bolts (won't need to buy dome nuts extra, either)
