Outboard engine
Strontium Dog - 14/6/10 at 12:45 PM

For my locost boat

My engine is dead so I need a 50-60hp engine. Anything cheap considered but an old Mercury Blueband with Thunderbolt ignition would be ideal as I have spares.

Anything fairly cheap though will do as I want to get on the water asap!

Cheers, Si.

are you sure?

i know jetski two stroke good phased out, about 3 years ago, similar type off age for outboards.

but 2 stroke, is coming back i am told, with direct injection, and other bits to make it cleaner, and more efficient than a 4 stroke.

can not help on the engine front that small, we have a spare 150 v6.lol

2 sroke outboards were banned from manufacture in 2007.

But old, pre 2007 2 stroke outboards are perfectly legal to use still, no problem.
