98 blade loom to clox plug.

Anyone out there got one of the above? Someone must have fitted aftermarket clox & removed the standard plug......please....
I'll send money!
It's just the actual plug I need coz when I bought the loom and clox, I didn't realise the plug was damaged, and now it's playing hell with the Digi gear indicator and Revlight.
It's got 14 contacts on it if that's any help for identification, and I don't know what other year models it fits.

Thanx very much in advance for any info regarding the above.

Bill,

There is a thread on the Yahoo! forum about the Digi Gear Indicator never being incorporated onto any Fireblade succesfully. If you think it's the plug causing the problem then I think you could be mistaken.

Not sure about the Revlights....

Bourne just received an email from one of the guys on Yahoo! Forum, it reads:

I gave up on mine never having got it to work despite trying it wired to
ECU, coil and crank sensor. Never got a clean rpm reading - I also had the
same manufacturer's revlight which had the same problem.


Some one else has posted to me:

I gave up on the Datatool Digi units as well, BUT we have tested and have
just started retailing the Acumen gear indicator for bike engined cars and so
far we have had no problems, although some engines MAY require a separate road
speed pick up fitting. They certainly work OK with the R1 engine. Thinking about it, we have never had a problem getting the ETB Digidash
(which we also distribute!), to read correctly, and these units all work on the
same principle (by comparing engine speed to road speed), so it must just be in
the design of the electronics.


Might be some good news at least!
