Hi all,
my hazard switch issue has got progressively worse. Does anyone have a switch I can borrow for my test or buy ASAP?
You will find they get water in thru the top.
I have had two go like this.
Next one, put a squirt of WD40 or similar in it to help prevent the problem.
My end game is to convert it to a Hella Switch on the dashboard, as good sierra switches are getting scarcer by the week.

cant you dismantle and clean it? lube with silicon grease to keep water out used to do all my bike switchgear like that.
i havent tried taking a sierra one apart though.

Some have 3 screws holding the 2 halves of the casing together to allow you to take it to bits, others don't
If the problem is the indicators not working (left or right) unless you press down the hazard switch ontop then the problem is where the hazard switch
stops on the end of its travel. There is an L shaped piece of wire that dictates the 'clickety' motion of the hazard and the end of the
'L' shape bends up which makes the hazard switch sit too high and disables the indicators.
Two of mine have gone this way and all it needs is the end of the 'L' bent back to 90 degrees. There are different versions of the switches
though and different hazard versions too.
The above is applicable for the mk1 indicator stalk with the 'pin 15' layout and the square hazard (you can clearly see the hazard metal
wire in operation on this model at the rear)
I've got one i won't be using if you still need it.
