I'm looking for a few scraps of 3 or 4 mm alloy plate, need enough to make 6 x 42mm discs to finish the welding jig for the throttle body runners on my manifold?

Does it matter if it's painted ?

Got some 3mm ali sheet but it's bright yellow !

Would 6mm do ? I've got a great big chunk of it in the shed.........I could chop a bit off ?
