I have a ITG JC40 air filter but will need a backplate for R1 carbs where is the best place to buy, I know you can get blanks but does anyone do ones for the R1 carbs or should I make my own.

gbs (robin hood) had a lot of orecut ones for bike carbs for sale last time i was there maybe woth a try

but then there easy to cut out if you get a blank one

Just check the dimensions for suitablility for your filter. Note that for ITG fitment the bottom retaining slots need removing (easily done with a hacksaw or tin snips).
