hello again,
Anyone know where i can get a 5 pin bulkhead electrical connector from, ideally needs to be a waterproof connector (i need to)
All the best
Alex
Neutrik speakon connectors come in 8 pin, they're very sturdy and weatherproof. RS stock them, as well as a few other ranges of weatherproof connectors.
Or Bulgin Bucaneer, as used by a few F1 teams.
what sort of current would the rear lights take (reverse, rear light, indicators and stop lamp)
the 6 pin ones are only rated at 3amp? would this be big enough? i would image not for a stop lamp?
3 Amp * 12 Volts = 36Watts
Fog lamps are 21W.
Rear stop lamps are 21W each, either use 2 (a connector for each lamp), assume there is enough spare capacity, or use LED rear lights.
How are you going to deal with the earth, as that is the sum of all the other currents.
Matt
i have 10 amp wire for the earths. (and they are all connected)
3A per light is more than enough, especially considering the duty cycle the higher powered ones will have. I'd use two pins for the earth though.
