Having fried the inside of my wrist on the silencer this summer I think I really need to fit a heat shield.
Silencer is 6" diameter.
Any suggestions as the best place to buy a complete one or where to buy the perforated mesh to make one?
Looking around I think Caterham's one at c.£35 is the best so far.
Any other suggestions before I jump in?

get yourself an old stainless steel washing machine drum for locost solution.

I have two in stock,yours for free if you want to collect.
