I'm looking for the hand held type which you basically stick in the TB bore and make a reference measurement. I know I have seen them but can't find anything on eBay.

Halfords, about £9 or Brown Brothers if you have one near you.

Go on fleabay and search "synchrometer"
I use one of this type and can recommend it.

Geoff.

synchrometer ...

Bingo! So THAT is what they are called - not cheap are they

Thanks guys

*edit* Ah bugger - it might be too big for my teeny weeny bores which are 35mm. Can anyone tell me if it will bodge down a bit smaller than the specified 40mm?

Sean, you are an absolute STAR!

I think I can get it to fit my trumpets instead of the throttle body so it should do the trick - setting up 12 of the little blighters is proving to be a bit of a challenge

Should be able to do this with a bit of rubber pipe or sommat - basically you want the airflow to go through the synchrometer...you just need to figure out how to stop it entering through any other route...

My trumpets should be arriving next week so I think it will fit them nicely.
Thanks to INDY BIRD it looks like I don't need to buy one after all
