Hi All,
Looking to get a second-hand lathe and thought here would be a good place to try first.
What I’m looking for is something with metric dials, dual (metric and imperial) thread cutting, about a 1 ¾” or 2” centre bore, minimum 6” clearance
on bed (so can turn at least 12”) happy with either single or 3 phase power.
So possibles include Harrison M350 (would consider a good m300 or possibly m400), Colchester Student (or a good Triumph) I guess what I’m saying is
that things like the student and m300 just about have the capacity but ideally I’d like a slightly bigger bore size without going crazily bigger,
happy to consider all other makes!
So if your currently walking around a big lump of cast iron machinery that doesn’t get much use please drop me a message
There is a good secondhand m/c tool place in Nottingham, can't recall the name, but my lathe came from them,..

I have a friend that recently talked about selling his. I will check and let you know. Not sure of the spec.
There's a handy machine tool place in Kegworrth , they had fair few triumph 2000s and masters
last time was there.
Just to add, I’m happy to borrow a trailer and remove & collect as necessary

Too small be any use to you but I'm moving house in 3 weeks and need to sell (cheeply) my lathe.
It is a Drummond round bed, lots of tools, chucks etc., belt driven from a single phase motor.

Thanks for the surprising ammount of interest in my lathe, I perhaps ought to start my own thread rather than continue to hijack this one.
I have had a boxfull of U2Us most asking how much, short answer I don't know.
I'm working all hrs at the mo so can I ask you to all just send me your best offer?
Please bear in mind there are spare chucks (3 and 4 jaw) and loads of other bits and pieces.
The other questions I'll answer when I have time to get into the garage, hopefully Mon. or Tues.

Still looking but I did try Claire's recommendation of a place in Kegworth, they have one i might be interested in (Colchester Triumph) but it is at the top of my budget, still, I’m going to have another look with it under power next week.

All too small, but while everyone's got lathe fever we still haver 4 we want to move on - 2 x Clarke little yellow things , little use
purchased within last few years , + 2 Denford Viceroys - one single phase and one 3 phase, basic solid small machines from the 50s, proceeds from
these will go into purchasing a new machine to match one purchased last year.

got all excited then, been after a lil clarke style one for making 1 off spacers etc, then realised 800 mile round trip LOL, hmm not so excited
now.
they always sell well on ebay, never any in my area 
They are ideal for that as most of the stuff they have been used for is nylon, alu and brass, currently have 2 small buffing wheels on them, which
seems a bit of a waste, don't want to e bay as sooner or later some one will want one on here and then there's no fees and no mucking
about.
Maybe you need a spring break holiday in the Lakes?

Hi, looking at £350 for each machine basically, Denfords as well, Clarkes have 3 jaw chucks , tools, chuck keys, etc and thread cutting gears,
operating instructions and some spare slow blow fuses for controllers.
