Seat Leather

hi guys, any one know any good retailers of leather for my seats, im going back to original lotus 7 style seats, with 2 bases and a joint back. trying to find some yellowy stuff to match the nose of the car

Leather?? You've never owned a seven before .. have you? :-)
Suggest some grippy weave type fabric as used in marine fittings. That won't hold water and will grip your bottom nicely.
Leather is too hot, too slippy and sun and rain destroys it.. quickly.
Believe me in saying that it will see lots of both if the car actually sees use.

I used a rear seat back and squab out of an XJ12 Jag, just remove the springs and fix it to a ply base with foam inbetween its a nice cream colour and is leather. make sure you use some nice firm foam on the squab bases though, as regards wet and sun, I just use plenty of leather treatments the horsey set use on saddles and I have had no trouble.

Yes hadn't thought of eBay will have to look there. Shouldn't be too hard to make. With regard to them not lasting, I think its the same as with most things, if you look after them they will last. I am planning on having it all velcro'd in place so should be easily removable if they get soaked. Just want to tart her up a bit really.
